Cesena FC and Macron are delighted to present the new 2026/27 Third Kit, a kit that pays tribute to the greatest achievement in the club’s history, marking the 50th anniversary of the Cavalluccio’s first and only match in a European competition.

Thanks to their sixth-place finish in the 1975/76 Serie A season, the Bianconeri secured an unprecedented qualification for the 1976/77 UEFA Cup and, in the draw in Zurich, were pitted against one of the strongest sides of that era, 1.FC Magdeburg, a team from the German city of the same name, which had lifted the Cup Winners’ Cup just two years earlier.

The design and colour chosen for this third kit pay tribute to this significant anniversary, evoking the shirt worn by their German opponents during the first round of the continental tournament. A match never forgotten by those lucky enough to have witnessed it first-hand, but one that still holds a special place in the hearts of all Bianconeri supporters, as evidenced by the unmistakable chant “we’ll return to Magdeburg, just like in ’76”.

The Cesena FC 2026/27 third kit features a royal blue base, defined by inserts on the shoulders, sleeves and sides in a darker shade of the same colour, outlined by elegant black piping. The two vertical white stripes on the left-hand side of the front, which echo the 1.FC Magdeburg kit, are created using sublimation printing and form the central graphic element of the design. The Macron Hero logo is applied in white on the right chest, whilst the Cesena FC crest is positioned on the left, between the two stripes: a choice that pays homage to that historic achievement and, at the same time, distinguishes the shirt from the traditional white already featured on the home kit. The third kit thus completes the range of the Cavalluccio’s match kits for the 2026/27 season with a further strong statement of identity.

To further highlight the historical link with that event, the photo shoot for the new third kit took place in the city of Magdeburg, in a sort of symbolic journey retracing all the most iconic locations of that historic black-and-white adventure: from the old Ernst-Grube-Stadion – now completely renovated and renamed the Avnet Arena – to the Käseglocke, the main meeting point for the blue-and-white supporters before and after home matches, right through to Magdeburg Cathedral and the most iconic corners of the German city’s historic centre.

The reference to the fiftieth anniversary of the historic 1976 European clash is also evident in other key details that complete the design. At the bottom of the shirt, a fabric label bears the word Magdeburg and the dates 1976–2026, whilst on the outside of the back of the collar, the club’s slogan #DAIBURDEL—one of the most recognisable expressions of the Bianconeri’s identity—appears in white.

Furthermore, the choice of Eco Everton as the kit’s main fabric reinforces the shirt’s historical appeal. Characterised by a distinctive shiny and reflective effect, this fabric evokes the typical aesthetic of football shirts worn across Europe in the 1980s and 1990s.

Cesena’s identity is further reflected in the inner tape at the bottom of the shirt, personalised with the club’s motto, the Cavalluccio and the text CESENA FC. The personalised label on the inside of the back of the neck, a feature common to the entire 2026/27 collection, incorporates the club’s colours and crest alongside the Macron logo, highlighting how every garment is meticulously developed, designed and conceived at the Macron Campus.

The design is also reflected in the other elements of the kit: royal blue shorts with a white drawstring and royal blue socks, characterised by a darker shade at the top and a white band positioned just below.

Like all kits developed by Macron for its partner clubs, the Third Kit is also made from Eco Fabric, a fabric made from 100% post-consumer recycled polyester. In addition to the aforementioned Eco Everton, used on the front, the shirt features Eco Softstripe jacquard fabric inserts on the sleeves and sides, and a rear panel in Eco Mesh James, which helps to make the garment lighter and more breathable.

The Cesena FC 2026/27 Third Kit is already available, alongside the entire official collection produced by Macron, at all official Bianconeri stores – both physical and online – as well as in the dedicated section of the macron.com website. The 2026/27 Third Kit is already available to buy through both sales channels at a price of €90.00 for senior sizes and €79.00 for junior sizes.
