Today, at the Hotel Miramonti in Acquapartita, a press conference was held to introduce Maat Daniel Caprini, the new forward for Cesena FC.
Joining the new Bianconeri player was sporting director Andrea Mancini, who stated: “We’re very happy to introduce Maat Daniel and to have him here with us. We’re glad he enthusiastically chose to join Cesena, and on behalf of the entire club, I’d like to wish him the best of luck and a year full of both personal and team success.”
Following the sporting director’s remarks, Maat Daniel Caprini answered questions from reporters: “How was your introduction to the Bianconeri? I felt right at home immediately; the guys all gave me a great welcome. I know it’s early to say, but I really feel like I’ve joined a group of great guys who play at a high level, so I’m truly happy to be here.”
“We’re at training camp, and obviously we’ve been pushing hard—and continue to push hard—because the season is long and we need to build up our stamina. Before choosing Cesena, I spoke with the coach; I consult with the coaching staff every day, and I’m truly happy with the choice I made, because the style of soccer we want to play this year is an attacking one. Honestly, I can’t wait to get started.”
“I consider myself primarily a left winger, but I’ve felt comfortable and have played several times as a right winger, a striker, and even an attacking midfielder. I can say that, for better or worse, I feel at home in any attacking role.”
“I come from a multicultural family with diverse backgrounds and nationalities. I’m Italian-French-Guinean; I grew up in Italy, but I consider myself a bit of a citizen of the world—in the sense that I enjoy speaking various languages and interacting with new teammates, even those who only speak English. As for the Italian national team, I’ve been called up, and for me, having the chance to wear the Azzurri jersey is a source of pride.”
“What are my goals? You should never talk about your goals—otherwise they lose some of their value—but I can say that I’m very ambitious and can’t wait to achieve the best possible results.”
