Cesena FC announces that Jonathan Klinsmann underwent surgery today to stabilise the fracture to his first cervical vertebra, sustained during the match against Palermo FC.

The operation, carried out by the medical team led by Dr. Stefan Hemmer at the orthopaedic clinic of Heidelberg University Hospital, was a success, and the goalkeeper will begin his rehabilitation programme in the coming days.
