A hard-fought draw for Cesena FC Primavera, who came back from a three-goal deficit against Empoli FC Primavera at the “Piero Torrini” stadium to snatch an incredible 3-3 draw at the end of a thrilling finish. Trailing by three goals at halftime, the Cavalluccio refused to give up and turned the game around in the second half, pulling one back in the 73rd minute through Frisoni and completing a wild comeback in stoppage time thanks to goals from Bartoli and Tonti.
The first half got off to a rough start for the Bianconeri. After a good chance for Enea Casadei, Empoli opened the scoring in the 13th minute with Orlandi and doubled their lead four minutes later with Meznar. Cesena struggled to respond, and in the 30th minute, the home team scored their third goal, again courtesy of Meznar. Before halftime, the Bianconeri tried to rally, but the teams headed into the locker rooms with the score at 3-0.
In the second half, however, the Cavalluccio returned to the field with a different attitude and gradually took control of the match. After pushing forward in search of a goal, Frisoni reignited the Bianconeri’s hopes in the 73rd minute with a perfect free kick that caught Vettore off guard. The Cavalluccio continued to attack and, in the 83rd minute, maintained constant offensive pressure until they scored their second goal in the 92nd minute: Bartoli timed his run perfectly on a cross from the left and headed the ball in to make it 3-2.
In the closing minutes, the Bianconeri’s attacks were rewarded with a penalty kick in the 95th minute. Tonti stepped up to take the kick and, in the 96th minute, converted it to make it 3–3, completing the Bianconeri’s comeback.
Coach Nicola Pozzi’s team will return to the field on Saturday, September 12, at 11:00 a.m. for a home game at the “Romagna Centro” Sports Center in Martorano against SS Lazio Primavera.
