A strong debut for Cesena FC Primavera, who secured a 0-1 victory over Hellas Verona FC Primavera at the Aldo Olivieri Stadium thanks to a goal by Tonti, who scored his first goal in the Primavera league shortly after entering the game.

Early in the match, Verona tried to take control of the game, while Cesena focused on containing the home team’s pressure. In the 14th minute, Gianfanti made an excellent save on a header by Moisa, while the Bianconeri began to make their presence felt more consistently in the latter part of the half. In the 38th minute, Bertaccini had the first shot on goal, testing Borghi, who four minutes later made another outstanding save on a long-range strike by the Bianconeri’s No. 14. In the closing moments of the first half, Amadori tried a volley in the box but failed to hit the target. The teams went into halftime tied 0-0.

In the second half, the Cavalluccio gradually pushed forward, and in the 50th minute, Enea Casadei fired high from distance following a corner kick. Verona responded in the 65th minute through Buniotto, but Gianfanti made a crucial save to deny the Gialloblù the lead. A minute later came the turning point of the match: Tonti, who had just entered the game, received a pass from Frisoni in the box and curled a perfect right-footed shot past Borghi to put the Bianconeri ahead.

In stoppage time, Mokris was sent off for a tactical foul, but Cesena defended its lead until the final whistle, securing its first three points of the season.

Coach Nicola Pozzi’s Bianconeri will return to the field on Sunday, August 30, at 4:45 p.m., when they host AC Milan Primavera at the “Romagna Centro” Sports Center in Martorano in a match counting toward Matchday 2 of the 2026/27 Primavera 1 Championship.
