At the “Deghi Center” Sports Complex in San Pietro in Lama, Cesena FC Primavera suffered a 1-0 loss to US Lecce Primavera in the match for Matchday 7 of the 2026/27 Primavera 1 Championship.
The match began at a slow pace, with few scoring chances for either side and the game largely even. Cesena tried to create danger in the 12th minute with Lontani, who attempted a curling shot but missed the target, and in the 18th minute with Poletti, whose shot was saved by Penev. Lecce responded in the 29th minute with Onyemachi, who shot over the bar from a tight angle. The teams went into halftime tied 0-0.
In the second half, the Bianconeri tried to take the lead and created the best chance of the match in the 62nd minute: Tonti sent in a low cross, Ricci couldn’t get a touch on the ball in time, and Enea Casadei’s shot was miraculously saved by Penev. The Cavalluccio remained in the game, but in the 86th minute, the home team broke the deadlock when Fajardo headed in a cross from Flies to put the Giallorossi ahead.
In the closing minutes, the Bianconeri tried to ramp up the pressure in search of an equalizer, but the Giallorossi defense managed to hold on to the lead until the final whistle, sealing a 1-0 victory for US Lecce.
Coach Nicola Pozzi’s team will return to the field on Saturday, October 24, at 3:00 p.m., when they will host their peers from AC Monza Primavera at the “Romagna Centro” Sports Center in Martorano.
