Following the match against FC Südtirol, Alessandro Siano also made his way to the mixed zone at “Druso” Stadium to discuss the game against the South Tyroleans.
“I’m satisfied with my personal performance; for me, it was important to bounce back after a few appearances that I felt weren’t up to my usual standard. The hardest save? Maybe the one in the top corner was the most difficult, but there were also other saves where we were all ready. I say ‘all’ because there was a low clearance where the ball stayed there, and we all came through together. In my opinion, that sums up today’s game. It’s true we conceded a goal and fell behind, but the team’s reaction and the pride we showed weren’t a given—and it wasn’t easy. We proved it after the game against Modena, coming back at home against Empoli and earning three points in a tough match; we proved it again today, turning the game around after falling behind on a tough road field, and even coming close to winning. So not only on a personal level, but also as a team, I consider myself quite satisfied.”
“The team is growing in terms of awareness, and I think this isn’t just about soccer, but about personal growth and the character of the men in the locker room. We’re all growing and maturing, and in my opinion, you can start to see that in these kinds of moments. It’s not just a technical or tactical issue, but one of character and managing key moments. We all still have a lot of growing to do—myself first and foremost—but we’re on the right track in that regard, and I think we proved it today.”
