This morning, the inauguration of the new main field of the Martorano Sports Center, which has been completely renovated in view of the new sports season, took place. It will host all the Cavalluccio's home matches in the Primavera 1 Championship, the Under 18 Championship, and the Women's Serie B Championship.
This is an important step of growth for the Bianconeri club, which will thus be able to rely on a state-of-the-art facility for the commitments of its youth teams in important and prestigious national championships and the daily activities of all the nursery selections.
In the morning, a friendly match was played between some old glories of Cesena and the City of Cesena representative team, allowing the fans present to see many idols of the Bianconeri past again wearing the Cavalluccio jersey.
At the end of the match, the ribbon-cutting ceremony was held in front of a large crowd of fans present at the event, officially inaugurated the new main field at the Martorano Sports Center and featured Cesare Pollini, President of Campus Cesena Sport, who owns the Martorano Sports Center. Enzo Lattuca, Mayor of the Municipality of Cesena, Christian Castorri, Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Cesena, Bruno Piraccini, President of the Fruttadoro Orogel Foundation, Michele Manuzzi, President of CFC Holding SpA, Daniele Martini, Director of the Sports Center in addition to the Cesena FC delegation composed of Corrado Di Taranto, Nick Aiello and Massimo Agostini.
“Campus Cesena Sport was born in May 2000,” recalled Cesare Pollini, President of Campus Cesena Sport, “ from a project and a dream of the founding partners of Martorano to create a sports hub that could be enjoyed as a center for youth football activity, a healthy place where to grow and share a sports culture. Over time, however, situations evolve, and today, here in Martorano, we have the honor of hosting the entire Youth Sector of Cesena FC in addition to the Women's First Team, which will be engaged in the next Serie B Championship. We have therefore chosen to undertake an important investment, which gives us great satisfaction and which we hope will be a further step in the growth and evolution of our Sports Center."
"We are a cits investing so much in sports and municipal sports facilities. It is a pleasure,” commented Enzo Lattuca, Mayor of the City of Cesena, ” to see that the community shares this strategy and that there are associations and businesses that participate and invest in improving sports facilities. Martorano represents an important social infrastructure for the city and the community, where so many girls and boys train daily. The inauguration of this field is another piece that makes this Sports Center even more of a landmark for soccer activity in our city."
“Today we are here for a significant event,” said Bruno Piraccini, President of the Fruttadoro Orogel Foundation, “ because it follows a valuable project that Cesena Campus Sport has been carrying out for some time precisely to create hospitality for boys and young athletes who play sports. It is a stage in a journey that must continue, and our support is continuous. It is a support that wants to continue this great initiative, which was started so many years ago and will have to represent a reference point for sports activities related to soccer, with the ambition over time to go further, looking step by step at other sports as well ."
"It is a great satisfaction to be here today in the Martorano Sports Center - said Corrado Di Taranto, General Manager of Cesena FC - for the inauguration of the new field that will be the home of our Primavera 1, our Under 18 and also of the girls protagonists in the Women's Serie B Championship. This result was achieved thanks to a beautiful synergy between several entities involved, and I am happy to add a new piece for the Martorano Sports Center and Cesena FC."
“The new synthetic field inaugurated today,” said Daniele Martini, Director of the Sports Center, “will allow all the teams of the Cesena FC Youth Sector and those of the Campus to enjoy this field throughout the day. It is a synthetic turf field with a springy underlay, which is mandatory to obtain FIFA Quality Pro homologation, and a performance infill made of 100 percent natural and biodegradable and completely plant-based materials, which is very close to natural grass surfaces. We chose this composition for a field that is the flagship of the entire facility and will be used mostly by the Youth Sector of Cesena FC, the team of our city, of which we are all proud."
