Cesena FC stands in solidarity with the Marchioro family following the passing of Giuseppe, the legendary Cavalluccio coach who passed away today at the age of 90.

Affectionately known as “Pippo,” Marchioro first took the helm of the Bianconeri in 1975 when, in the club’s Serie A debut season, he led the Cavalluccio to a sixth-place finish and a historic European qualification.

Driven by a deep passion for soccer and a true innovator during the 1970s and 1980s, Marchioro returned to the Cesena bench on two other occasions during his career, becoming one of the most beloved and respected coaches in the entire Cesena community.

At this time of great sadness, Cesena FC wishes to express its deepest condolences to the Marchioro family.
