On Friday, August 7, a press conference was held in the press room of the Orogel Stadium-Dino Manuzzi to introduce Antonio Fiori, a forward for Cesena FC. At his side was Andrea Mancini, the Cavalluccio’s sporting director, who stated: “I’m happy to introduce Antonio to you: a player whom I, the staff, and the entire club are delighted to have with us. I wish him the very best of luck for the new season and extend my warmest welcome to him in Cesena.”
Next, it was Antonio Fiori’s turn. Responding to questions from the journalists present, he said: “Returning here to Cesena is a source of great pride for me because I grew up in this club. I’m from Ravenna, but I always played for Cesena until the bankruptcy in 2018, so today I feel like I’ve come home.”
“What memories do I have of my time with the Cavalluccio? I remember the joy of training every day with my friends in the Cesena jersey and the many Sundays spent as a ball boy on the sidelines. I’d watch the Cesena players celebrate with the fans under the curve, and I always dreamed of playing for the first team myself—to score goals and celebrate just like them under the curve.”
“I’m starting this new season with great enthusiasm, aiming to do my very best for Cesena. Last season, I was fortunate enough to earn promotion to Serie A with Frosinone, after a first half of the season with its ups and downs; but I’m still happy with the journey I’ve taken.”
“I like playing one-on-one, taking shots on goal, attacking the net, and, above all, I love scoring goals. At Frosinone, I learned a lot from the two wingers, but also from Coach Alvini, a very proactive coach who always plays an attacking style. Thanks to them, I’ve grown in my ability to attack the opponent’s goal and to always try to play forward, without ever dropping back.”
“With Coach Diamanti and his entire staff, we’ve built a great relationship right from the start, and the same goes for all my teammates. I’ve only been here a few days, but I have to say I’ve found a wonderful group, and I’ve bonded well with everyone right away.”
