A press conference was held this morning in the press room at Orogel Stadium – Dino Manuzzi to introduce Xavello Druiventak, Cesena FC’s new forward.
Introducing the new Bianconeri player was sporting director Andrea Mancini, who stated: “On behalf of the club, we are very happy to introduce our new Bianconeri forward, Xavello Druiventak. We are thrilled to have him with us, and on behalf of the entire club, I wish him the best of luck.”
Following the sporting director’s remarks, Xavello Druiventak himself took the floor to answer questions from journalists: “As soon as I heard that Cesena had seen something in me and that there was a chance I could play here, I didn’t think twice. I know this is a club with a great history and passionate fans, so all I can do is simply give my all for this team.”
“From day one, my teammates have welcomed me with open arms, so it’s been easy to settle in. Most of the players also speak English, and it’s really great to have teammates who want to help you grow as a player. The coach also showed a lot of confidence in me during training camp, and I’m sure I’ll learn a lot from him. He told me right away that we have to work hard, and I’m really happy to hear that, because every player has to give it their all to improve.”
“During my last year in the Netherlands, I played in the youth system, and after that year I decided to move to Lithuania because there were few opportunities to make my professional debut in the youth system where I grew up. I’ve made many sacrifices to get where I am now, and I think my experiences in Lithuania and Bulgaria have made me a better player—but above all, a better person—by making me mentally stronger. They’ve taught me that in soccer, talent alone isn’t enough; what matters just as much is what you’re willing to sacrifice and how hard you’re willing to work to achieve your goals.”
