Before leaving for Tuscany, Mister Mignani presented the match between Empoli FC and Cesena FC at a press conference. The match is scheduled for Saturday, February 28, at 3:00 p.m. at the Carlo Castellani - Computer Gross Arena Stadium and is valid for the 27th day of the 2025/2026 Serie BKT Championship.
"The goal is to earn points against everyone, because unfortunately, the latest trend shows that we haven't been able to do so, but the goal remains the same. I continue to say that the numbers often tell the truth, but there is something, in my opinion, that sometimes doesn't add up between the final result and our team's performance. It's my opinion, and I'm expressing it, but at the same time, I'm aware that we obviously have to do more than we have done recently because we need the points, and we need them badly."
"Am I more concerned about their heads or their legs? When you experience moments like this, you know that their heads may be weighed down, but in some respects, the boys always have a light heart, and perhaps this is a flaw: always having a light heart and not perceiving the danger. The data collected during the week tells us that their legs are fine, and of course, having the option to give someone a break or offer an alternative helps, but the lads are young, well-trained, and in that respect, I have no concerns.“
"Empoli is a balanced team with physical players at the back and very quick wingers. They've lost Elia to suspension, but they still have alternatives in Ceesay, Morucci, and Candela. They're a lively team up front, with complete forwards who can do a bit of everything: this makes them a dangerous team, a group that plays football when it needs to and becomes solid when it needs to be. It's clear that, to date, they probably haven't had the season they expected, but there are still many games to play and, beyond that, we must focus exclusively on ourselves and not on others."
