An extraordinary feat by Cesena FC Primavera, who, after trailing by three goals at halftime, turned the tide of the match against Genoa CFC Primavera, winning 3-5 in the match valid for the 36th round of the Primavera 1 Championship. Decisive were the two goals by Galvagno, the goal by Rossetti, and the two goals by Wade.
It was a difficult start for the Bianconeri, who, after an early scare from Mattioli’s overhead kick off a cross by Rossetti, had to contend with the Rossoblù’s intensity. After a two-man free kick was cleared by the Bianconeri defense, Genoa took the lead in the 21st minute: Grossi unleashed a powerful right-footed shot from 25 meters that nestled into the top corner.
The second goal came from the penalty spot at the half-hour mark courtesy of Filippo Carbone, while late in the first half the Ligurians also made it 3-0 through Gibertini following a corner kick.
Everything changed in the second half. In the 56th minute, Galvagno got the comeback started by capitalizing on a shot-cross from Casadei that hit the post, and just two minutes later he scored his second goal with a header off a cross from Mattioli.
The equalizer came once again from a corner, with Rossetti rising unmarked in the six-yard box to send an unstoppable header past Lysionok. Genoa nearly regained the lead through Romano, but the Cavalluccio had already seized the momentum.
In the 84th minute, Wade completed the comeback with an extraordinary solo run from midfield, and in stoppage time, he sealed the deal with the 3-5 goal off an assist from Galvagno following a long ball from Fontana.
Thanks to this victory, the Bianconeri, led by coach Nicola Campedelli, climb to 64 points, tying Parma Calcio Primavera at the top of the table, and secure mathematical qualification for the Championship playoffs with two matches remaining.
