Cesena FC Primavera suffered a narrow defeat at the “Romagna Centro” Sports Center, where they lost 0-1 to Juventus FC Primavera in the match valid for Matchday 37 of the Primavera 1 Championship.
The match began with intense, evenly matched play, featuring constant shifts in momentum and a fast pace from the opening minutes. Juventus started with confidence and immediately threatened in the 6th minute with a shot from the edge of the box, providentially blocked by Tommaso Casadei. Cesena responded through Wade, who tried to capitalize on a favorable bounce to break toward the goal, but the visiting defense closed him down at the last moment.
As the minutes passed, the intensity grew. Leone cut inside and shot over the bar, while at the other end Elimoghale nearly put his team ahead with a long-range shot that forced Fontana into a miraculous save to tip it away for a corner. Before halftime, Wade, played in by Galvagno, failed to hit the target from a good position.
In the second half, Juventus pushed forward again with a well-worked move that led to a shot by Vallana, saved by Fontana, and a cross to Makiobo who, just a few steps from the goal, incredibly failed to hit the target. Cavalluccio, however, grew into the game: Wade played a brilliant pass to Poletti, whose powerful right-footed shot was miraculously parried by Radu; shortly after, the number 11 himself tried his luck from distance, only to be denied once again by the Bianconeri goalkeeper.
In the closing stages, the deadlock was broken: Juventus took the lead through Corigliano, who rose well to head home a cross from the right. The match heated up in the final minutes. Fontana kept the Bianconeri’s hopes alive by stopping a penalty kick and keeping the result in the balance; then, in stoppage time, Cavalluccio also had a chance to equalize from the penalty spot. Radu, however, denied Tosku’s attempt and preserved the visitors’ lead. After an intense and tense finale, it was the visitors who took home the three points.
Coach Campedelli’s Bianconeri will return to the field on Saturday, May 16, at 3:00 PM when they face SS Lazio Primavera in the match valid for the final day of the Primavera 1 Championship.
