Following their home draw against AC Milan Primavera, tomorrow, Sunday, September 6, at 3:00 p.m., Cesena FC Primavera will face Empoli FC Primavera at the Stadio Comunale Piero Torrini in a match counting toward Matchday 3 of the 2026/27 Primavera 1 Championship.
The last time these two teams met was during the 2024–25 season, when the Cavalluccio managed to win both league matches against the Azzurri—both the first leg and the second leg played in Martorano. At the end of that season, Empoli FC was relegated to Primavera 2 after losing the relegation playoff against Bologna FC.
After the first two matchdays, Cesena FC Primavera and Empoli FC Primavera are tied with 4 points each in the standings. The Cavalluccio are coming off a win in their season opener against Hellas Verona FC and a draw against AC Milan, while the Tuscan side has recorded a victory on the road against Como 1907 and a draw against FC Internazionale.
Matteo Dini of Città di Castello will referee the match, assisted by linesmen Roberto Palermo of Pisa and Roberto Meraviglia of Pistoia.
The match will be broadcast live on Sportitalia, available on channel 60 of digital terrestrial television, as well as via streaming on the network’s website and official app.
